Led by vogue and the new era of fashion shows, I was inspired to watch old fashion shows. Fashion shows have branded companies worldwide on a small and larger scale. More minor scales are smaller collections, more prominent shows that have changed fashion today. Collections by John Galliano for Dior

are one example of expressing their playful yet elegant side. The show sets can completely change to abide by and represent each collection. Some of the most iconic shows feature unusual venues and define the models. A show that struck me was the Whistling Sand Mountain for Pierre Cardin's ethereal Spring/Summer 2008 show. The way he masked the models having such a simplistic, synchronistic, and smooth look defined the brand in the exact words, but in another way. Pierre Cardin’s brand was known for yet another iconic show. Another one was Fendi’s China show.

They did this on the Great Wall, costing $10 million dollars total. They staged the models in a small section, Juyongguan Pass, which became the brand's catwalk.

We also have The Terracotta House between Cannes and Monaco from the outdoor venues, which presented a “retro-futuristic” space.

These venues have helped shape how consumers have viewed the brands’ product, line, and public face. They stay iconic and unmemorable today because these spectacular shows have set new standards for fashion exhibiting and modeling, expanding the experiences top models are given. So not only have these shows made headlines, changed brands’ faces to the public, and changed modeling opportunities, but they have also changed multiple ways of viewing the fashion industry.
